Laying it on thick

In response to Minni, here is one of the artworks discussed yesterday...

And here are the others.... My son's style is much more abstract!

Not exactly masterpieces but we have a lot of fun exploring different mediums. They form the basis of a calendar at the end of the year so this blip allows the grandparents to sneak a preview;)

I chose this one because it makes me think of yet another of our favourite books, Pamela Allen's Black Dog.

It's has quite a different tone to her other stories, poetic, dark and deeply moving.

Now that Im has become such a dog nut we should revisit it - although I fear she will find Christina's abandonment of her best friend in the quest for the imaginary blue bird much too distressing!

I'd better stop now before I let the thought of Black Dog perched high in the trees overwhelm me...
