Citizen Smith

From a distance, I thought this statue in Bow Churchyard was Sir Francis Drake, but it turned out to be Captain John Smith, "Citizen and Cordwainer" (which perhaps explains the rather snazzy boots). Apparently, he played an important part in the establishment of Jamestown, Virginia, the first permanent English settlement in North America.
