Sandhill cranes

I found this wonderful pair of cranes wandering next to Route 441 near Payne's Prairie, nibbling at bugs in the grass and completely ignoring the roaring traffic just a few yards away. 

These guys are one of my favorite parts of winter in Florida. I'll miss them when they head back north. :)
