Indiepop with yoik

I have no idea what happened on the Friday evening when publishing the pic and it automati cally was placed on the incorrect date. The camera date and time are correct, I know.

Pop + Sami yoik with Sofia Jannok - a Sami singer-songwriter, an activist working for Sami interests/rights as well. The concert was very enjoyable but she is also an excellent storyteller!
You can find influences from the Samish yoik in many pieces; listen to her music (different styles of music below). She performed a traditional yoik without any instruments during the concert, but unfortunately I can't find any real yoik with her on Youtube...
