17km to go

The annual channel swim from Cottesloe to Rottnest started with the solo swimmers at 0545hrs

They have 17km to swim and will take around 6 to 7 hours.

They are all so fit and couldn't wait to get into the water where a flotilla of support surfboards and boats will escort them across the channel.

This is the 25th year of the event, one I have yet to swim in and one I am not likely to either !!
