Variations on a theme

Crocus sieberi again, this time subspecies sieberi found only in the mountains of Crete where it flowers as the snow melts.  As yesterday this is a plant that produces variable offspring, variation mostly in the dark purple pattern on the outer petals.  Like our own children, they are all beautiful :-)
