History all around

Following up my Eadweard Muybridge blip from the other day I visited Kingston Museum for the first time which houses some interesting exhibits including a number of Muybridge's glass photographic plates.

Cesar Picton is another man who richly deserves a memorial plaque (in fact there is a second plaque on his house across the river in Thames Ditton) and you can read more about his life and times here - Cesar Picton, a black merchant in 18th century Kingston

Picton is buried in All Saints church and a blip of his gravestone may well appear in the near future.
