A quick bloomer

Lady Creekboy opened a Christmas present and found an amaryllis bulb. She put it to one side for a few days. When she came back to it she found it trying to get out of the box! She quickly and carefully planted it and it has been in bloom for about two weeks now. They don't hang around!
