eye strain

A strange encounter with a traffic warden in a car park in Bishop's Waltham today : Pulled up into a space with my old Mother in the car , I got out and went around to open her door when this traffic warden came over and said "How long have you had her ?" and I replied "All my life - she's my Mother " before realising that he meant the other old girl i.e. the Peugeot !He then recounted a great story of when he was a chauffeur for the creator of Thomas the Tank engine and friends TV series, her name is Britt Allcroft and one day they were driving through London and she spotted this emerald green sporty Peugeot in the garage and said "Stop , I am going to buy that car "- she had the number plate "Toby" added to it (which is the name of one of the engines)- she owned it for many years until a while ago when she decide to move to Santa Monica and before leaving  managed to track down our man and gave him the car , he was so thrilled and I am glad he shared the story with me .
You just never know what you ll learn from stopping to chat !
Should have blipped him but you have a shop window in a local second hand shop that I passed this evening, not sure what is for sale ?
