I will admit that today I cheated on my photo submission. Today's photo subject was going to one of my coworker's massive mane, but when I went to snap a shot with the SX-70 I was out of film :( Sad given the fact that it said I had two shots left. Oh well! I will have to save his mane for my new Polaroid 250 that will be arriving next week. Instead, here is a shot from a weekend walk with my husband, IM J Rogers, on a trail by our house. I'm lucky enough to live in a place that has such interesting history and creativity. This cement palace has been built over time by wandering artists, vagabonds and random teens who have nothing better to do. The entire structure is painted inside and out and serves as an ever living canvas for anyone. The last time we were here, it was painted red and yellow where this time cute illustrations greeting us with smiles. I love the colors in this photo, very desaturated and muted, but lively at the same time. I'll be honest, this was a one off shot. I was trying to test out the film, but it turned out alright!
