Cinema Date #2
Today I woke Brie up at 7 but she still wasn't feeling well so I was off to school on my lonesome :(
Today went surprisingly well for our lack of volunteers. As per usual I was working with the younger kids and we were learning numbers all day. I was so pleased they managed to work for the entire day and they made these beautiful posters for the classroom. The day went really quickly and I couldn't believe it when it reached 11 and it was home time!
I didn't feel so good when I got back to the hostel and although I really wanted to get out and about I decided to have a productive and chilled day at the pool...standard! But I finally got round to doing some washing, caught up with a lot of people and made a trip to the supermarket for some get well food for Brie (bananas, peanut butter and crusty) so it was worth spending another day at the hostel.
Later Brie and I went on a little date to the cinema to see The Vow, my perfect kind of chick flick. It's really funny to see how different Colombian people behave in the cinema here. Apparently it's acceptable to keep your phone on loud and answer it while watching the movie. And noone even complains when this happens! To top it off we had a man and his toddler daughter beside us. She was bouncing up and down on the squeeky seats and I doubt she could read to understand the Spanish subtitles. Even if she could I don't think The Vow is exactly the best movie for a 3 year old to be watching and Brie decided to let the man know this by telling him his daughter was a little little for the movie ha to which he responded by leaving! oh dear.
When we got back I got into a hammock and absolutely conked out! The only reason I woke up was because of Brie asking me about school tomorrow haha. And then it was off to bed...
