Pink Primrose

I thought the garden centre had mis-labelled this plant, as it was designated as a Primrose and cost £1.99, when it was sitting among other very similar looking plants designated Polyanthus and costing £4.99.

However, when I looked in my gardening book later, I discovered it IS a primrose after all as there is only one flower on each short stem, whereas a polyanthus would have many flowers on a single tall stem.

As they all looked virtually identical to me, I feel I got a bargain:-)

Really enjoyed Eastenders  this evening and didn't guess the guilty party at all:-)
