Observations in time

By walkingwummin

It's arrived!

This is a photo of my husband's latest aquisition.
It is a bench saw.
He is currently playing with it examining it in the kitchen.
He says it will help him at the week-end when he assists our son S with his flooring dilemma...
All I know is I had to wait in for it today, and tomorrow I will have to wait in for another vital bit...
I was so pleased to hear from son no 1 last night. He seems to be finding his feet in his new job and is currently looking to buy a house in the Netherlands  with his girlfriend. All very good news indeed.
I am delighted for him. As my mother said, and as her mother told her-"if you don't have them to cry over, you don't have them to laugh with"
How true-today I have been sorting through my mum's stuff-I didn't think or realise how hard it would be.
I always thought-this is just stuff- but it is someone's life you are sorting through and disbursing, which seems like something quite different altogether.
I found her confirmation medal. She never went back to the Catholic Church age 18 after it rejected her desire to marry an Anglican (I can't say I blame her!)
She kept it all these years because it was personal.
Anyway, I am so looking forward to our week-end away with great folk I used to work with. They are the absolute best I have ever had the good fortune to know. Thanks be for that and the blessings they bestow on me every time we meet.
I won't miss the tile cutting with this saw in the slightest!!
