Jamie Andrew

With my work phone I've taken the worst photo I'm afraid of what was an excellent conference with lots of inspirational speakers. If u can forgive the derelict view and instead imagine a dynamic group of interested people (which there was) hunkering down about to lists to the last speaker - Jamie Andrew. 16 years ago this young mountaineer faced an immensely almost life threatening situation. I shan't spoil his story if you don't know it. What I take from his talk is the importance of setting little goals when presented with seemingly insurmountable challenges and instead of worrying about the difficulties that may arise - just go for it! We probably all try to do that, but it was a good reminder of persistence and the importance of being resilient in adversity.

And they had love hearts and refreshers in wee bowls on the table - nice touch.
