Long day and long shadows

I decided to take a short study break and drove out to the beach for the sunset. I had a photograph in mind, but there were no surfers out. I guess it was too windy and the surf was too choppy. So I decided to go check out the Folly Beach fishing pier for the first time. It was a beautiful evening, but with the wind it was a bit chilly (I'd say mid 40's before windchill) so there were not many people out and about. I was getting ready to go find something else to make a picture of when I saw this group coming toward me down the beach. I really liked how their shadows stretched out in front of them as they walked with their backs to the sunset and the wind.
