Love locks

Day 3 in Paris has been a real treat as Lulabel, Mabel and I ambled round some of the main touristy areas along with a few thousand other folk.

First we had a wander round Montmartre, then sat and people-watched over coffee.

We looked straight up at Sacré Coeur from the café where we had lunch and people-watched, then made our way to the Île de la Cité for the obligatory visit to Notre Dame.

I was curious to see all the padlocks on the Pont de l'Archevêché beside Notre Dame. Mabel was interested too. Both sides of the bridge are completely covered!

We spent too long sitting in a café drinking mulled wine and people-watching, so by the time we reached the Luxembourg Gardens they were closed. However, we were exhausted and ready to come home by then anyway. I'm hoping there'll be a next time...

I'll be travelling home tomorrow and hope to catch up with everyone eventually.
