Reflecting on things....

Lucky to have a small wood nearby for when I only get 15 minutes to pop out and get a blip. In the wood is..... well let's call it a lake but some might say it is just a very big puddle. Anyway, the aforementioned "lake" has a nice coating of algae which features in the left of the picture and I framed the shot to include clear water which has reflections of trees and sky.

Now to add some "special sauce" to the shot I switched to manual focus at f4 and made certain the focus was on the texture of the surface and created a bit of creaminess about the reflections. Seems to have worked!
