Signs of life

The edge of the sea and the shore has myriad signs of human life - thrown over or dropped off the passing boats on Loch Fyne and the channel North of Arran. I suspect this was from a fishery worker's hand, dropped whilst tending the mussels or salmon. The oddity of a blue hand, clutching a sea worn pebble caught my eye - whose was it, how long did it float aimlessly in the sea before it came ashore at Ettrick Bay.
