carpets, carpets, carpets!
The wind in Finland-area at the beginning of summer is often blowing hard and there's almost no rain or showers at all - and that's why it really is the best time to wash carpets, as they dry so fast.
Today we washed four carpets by hand. Finns often do so, though nowadays many of us go and wash their carpets in laundry in machines instead...
I like washing carpets. You get fresh air and some tan and the best there is, that you really can have and enjoy of the clean result. You often meet nice, relaxed people there and handwashing beats machinewashing anyway.
The sun was shining, it was warm (+23c degrees) and the birds were singing from the woods and near the washing place there was one blue lake... To my mind it's maybe therapeutic too washing carpets outdoor!
