The Two Miss L's

This is one of my favourite ever photo of Miss L. It was taken twenty months ago during a lovely outing to John Lewis.

Yesterday while I was slaving away at work Mr K took the Little Misses to Halfords to pick up the bike we ordered late for Miss L's birthday. It wasn't ready so she had to wait another day. Annoying!
This morning I took Miss E to her friend Miss H's house for a play. It's been ages since they've got together outside school and they've both been really excited.
When I got there I went in for a cup of tea and let Miss L have a play too. There was quite a bit of squealing and screeching which was a little bit annoying for Mr A who was trying to work in his office so it was probably just as well when Mrs A suggested we take the children and the dog out for a walk.
What a beautiful day!! We had a lovely half hour walking in the woods - and sloshing through the mud (see how filthy her new sparkly birthday shoes are!!!), a quick fifteen minutes in the park and then home. Hopefully a little bit worn out!!
I left Miss E to it and headed to Halfords with Miss L to pick up her bike.
A big fat fail in the measuring department and the bike we'd ordered was far too big. Even with stretched out tiptoes her feet were still inches from the floor. Oops!
But a snazzy purple Chopper style caught her eye. It was miraculously in stock, £30 cheaper, fitted her perfectly and came with streamers, a basket for toys and a bell. Perfect!!
From there we headed to John Lewis for tea and a bag full of tasty goodies for Miss L. And another conversation with "Miss L in the window".
She's ace!!
We headed back to Mrs A's and went in for another cup of tea and a dip in the hot tub for the children. The Little Misses were very taken with it and have decided we should definitely get one!!
I took them out for a quick bike ride before dinner when we got home. Miss L was giddy to be out on her very own big girl's bike. With pedals and brakes!
One and a half pounds on at Fat Club. Very disappointing after a good week. I'm sure it's just a blip and all will come right next week. Fingers crossed!!
