Old MacDonald had a farm

Here in Germany you can choose (within certain parameters*) what your car reg can be, at no extra cost.

Friends recently took delivery of their shiny new car, it took a while for them to decide what the plate should be...with much egging on by the expat group E -I-E-1-0 was settled on.

We're not sure that the locals understand why it's so funny.


* The first letter denotes the city (here, E = Essen) then you have 1or 2 letters and then 1-4 numbers.
