Deanston Distillery

Hubby has just started working for Deanston Distillery, near Doune, who threw open their doors to the public on Monday. I was one of the first to join his tour round the unique distillery, with its textile history and organic, gentle paces.

I took lots of great photos - Deanston has many beautiful rooms, but this was my favourite. Its the tun room, where the wart (the boiled malted barley and water) is transformed into a rough beer. I loved the linear, angular contrast to the rounded tuns accented by the light. It didn't need much to turn it to black and white - it was already so stark.
