Day 141

What a beautiful day for photography!

I took so many photos today it was hard to choose what to use for my blip. We went down to Derwentwater first thing and the lake was like a sheet of glass. Absolutely stunning. We went out on the launch (which disturbed the water but the reflections were still good) to see the lake in all its glory, something that was especially momentus for Dave and Helen as they got married in a hotel at the shore of the lake on the other side, 9 years ago. That was also a beautiful day, full of lovely memories. All the wedding guests were treated to a trip around the lake and plied with champagne - wonderful memories.

We got off the launch at the Lodore Falls drop off, as it was The Keswick Lodore where they were married. They really wanted to show their little girl Emily the hotel, so we had a lovely lunch in the gardens, then H and Emily paddled in the lake whilst we waited for the boat back.

A perfectly, wonderful day. We're going to miss them all desperately when they go back to Oz :(
