Ada and Cole
Jason and I took a wonderful Bradley method birthing class in the months prior to Cole's arrival. There were five other couples in the class, one of which was Ada's parents, Erinne and Brian. It was such fun learning about what birth could possibly be like (we all know there is no way to know what it will really be like), and getting to know other couples who were in the same place in their pregnancies as we were. Our teacher did a wonderful job of sending out emails once the babies started arriving to let us know the details. Cole and Ada won the awards for the biggest babies of the bunch! Erinne and I got together when the babies were about two months old, and we brought them together again today at four months old. It's amazing to see how much they've changed. Now they're both talking and laughing, being very expressive, while two months ago they were pretty ho-hum about life (except when they were unhappy, of course). Erinne and I chatted about how the babies are sleeping (THE hot topic among mamas with babies). We just moved Cole to his crib last week and the transition has gone quite well. Jason and I are still sleeping in the guest room, which is next to his room, because our room is too far away for me to feel comfortable. One day I'll be ready to move back there...maybe.....So yes, Ada and Cole have become buddies and Erinne and I are looking forward to the summer when we can introduce them to the ocean and stick their toes in the sand. Hopefully they'll like it!
