One year old!

Today was the day to celebrate Charlee's first birthday. She wasn't sure what to make of her cake. After a little encouragement, she tried the icing, but that was enough! She was more interested in her mom, the people that were watching her and the streamers behind her chair.

On the way to the party, I picked Grandpa up from the airport. He had been in Europe on business and flew back to Toronto so that he could attend the party. He had lots of cuddles with the birthday girl.

Happy Valentine's Day!

After John's special delicious Mac and Cheese dinner, Kevin and I hit the road home to Montreal. After a couple of hours of driving, a winter storm began. It was bitterly cold and the roads were snow covered, icy and treacherous, so it was slow going. We were both pretty tired (Kevin from all his travels, and me because Lacey had been a poor guest the night before), so checked into a hotel in Trenton for the night. It was a good choice.
