'pen'sive

I'm sooo tired today and my body feels tired. I'm not liking this getting older crap!

Talking of getting older, or feeling old..... my daughter received...... a teddy, (smothered in aftershave) a chocolate rose and a huge card for Valentine's Day from a boy in her class.

She's wanting to go to his house after school for a couple of hours tomorrow. They've been friends for a wee while now.

Hmmmm......

I used this pen, to write directions to his house, after I called his mother, to make sure she would be at home also and to make sure she understood that my daughter is 12! Lol!
Lucy is having dinner there and I will be picking her up.

This is new territory I'm not sure I like. When I was Lucy's age, my friends, male and female, lived near me so I could go hang out with them anytime. Having dinner with them was never an issue. I'm not sure if this feels different because I have to collect her.
My condition on allowing her to go was that I speak to his mother. I'm trying to remember what it was like to be around her age and not be tooooo neurotic.

I think I may be failing with the neurotic thing actually........
