Dragon Boat Race

My friend and I went along to Salford Quays for the Charity Dragon Boat race.
Dragon boat racing is an ancient Chinese tradition and the fastest growing water activity in Britain today - as well as the most fun! Teams of up to 10 people paddle each 30' boat with a drummer at the front beating time and a helm at the tail steering a straight course. No previous experience is required, just plenty of team spirit! Some companies use the challenge as a team building exercise, others because its great fun for a good cause.Dragon Boat Challenge
It was a gloriously sunny day and, win or lose, everyone had great fun.
We even got to wear "Official " Life jackets which allowed us to get right up close to the action.
