Stone Tool?

Mystery object I found in the garden. Not sure if it might be a Neolithic or Bronze Age tool or just a stone.. It is heavy/dense stone and a deep red/maroon colour when wet. It's wedge shaped and sits on a perfectly smooth flat base. The 'top' surface is slightly concave and the object seems like it has been shaped by hand.
