RNR Battery
These guns were retrieved from the ground some twenty odd years ago. They stand at Inaclete Point, Stornoway, the site of what was the largest RNR battery and training depot in Great Britain.
Established in 1876 and decommissioned in 1919, it was where thousands of men from Lewis, Harris and Wester Ross were trained for service in the Royal Navy.
Behind the guns is the diesel-powered electricity station.
