Old Cemetery, Rathven

Joining in with Youoregon1's Cemetery Sunday.

I've featured Rathven and some of its history in previous blips. Although it's now a tiny village, as the historically important centre of a substantial parish, it has two quite large cemeteries. This is the older one, where the earliest monuments are eroded, moss- and lichen-covered slabs, laid flat in the ground and bearing a range of carved shapes and symbols.(So guess which stones I'll be looking to blip in future! ;)
