974 feet up

It's been a few weeks since our last walk up to the woods behind the house to see how it looks after nearly a month of felling. It is around 30 acres so they have a bit left to do.
The big dead trees have been left for wildlife and the 'not so big' Scots Pine is too wiggly for his machine so will be cut down by hand.

Standing up at the 974 feet (297m) trigpoint you get a pretty amazing view of the Pentland hills and beyond. If you look in large you can see our chimneys!
