Snowdrop walk
Such an enjoyable afternoon spent with fellow blipper Mindseye today. We visited Austwick Hall, a fascinating and beautiful hotel snuggled away in the Yorkshire Dales, in the village of Austwick of course. Their gardens are open at this time of year and for the very reasonable sum of £4 you can wander round their woods and just wallow in the sight of their thousands of snowdrops.
Oh we were on our knees, we climbed over trees, we changed our settings... again and again.... and I still didn't get the outcome I wanted. Still struggling with my focus but a beautiful day... and possibly a reason to go back. Their welcome, their tea and their home made scones and jam were heaven on a February afternoon which had just a hint of spring about it.
I had a sneaky look at one of their guest rooms too...ooooh now there's a place to stay!!! :)
