Life through the lens...

Flowerpot man

A foggy start to our walk today, from Saltaire  to Baildon, via Hole Hill and Baildon Bank.
A very steep climb out of the valley, and still no good views from the moor, although it did brighten a litttle.

The photos are of Hall Cliffe Community Garden, Baildon.
Perfect stop for lunch, and plenty of benches to sit on, which makes a change from dry stone walls, or wet grass!!

This park was created in 2004/2005 from a disused school playground.
All done by local volunteers, who formed a charity for this purpose.
It provides a tranquil oasis in the village. ( and a superb lunch spot)
The crocuses and heathers were in flower. Lovely long catkins of the
" Garrya elliptica"
But I liked the lovely flowerpot man, and bug hotel best!

Finished off the walk sat outside the cafe in  Roberts Park, Saltaire, for tea and scones.

Another nice walk.
Christened my new boots too. Now rather muddy!
Just rubbed my right ankle a bit.
I think they should be worn in now for next time!
