Dundee Sheriff Court

A bright day with a hazy sun.

At church this morning I led the service and we had a visiting preacher whom I have known since 1976, when we worked together in Edinburgh. It was good to work together again and I was pleased that my energy levels had improved.

After lunch we popped into town and I blipped this magnificent building. It is Dundee Sheriff Court, which is an imposing listed building designed in 1833 by Edinburgh architect George Angus and completed in 1863 by William Scott. It was extensively renovated in 1996 and officially opened by the Princess Royal in 1997.

Eleanor was called as a Juror there last year, although the case was dismissed after it became clear that the Prosecution witnesses were deemed to be unreliable, mainly because they said they were too drunk at the time of the alleged offence to remember anything!
