The inescapable forces of nature

Two people who I admired and wished I knew better died today. Cliff, a big islander with a bigger heart and slightly younger than me had a heart attack. The other was the 2nd female Bishop in Australia, Bishop Barbara Darling. She had a stroke last week and faded away this afternoon. She had only just worked out how to enjoy her retirement.
Cliff provided realistic and well humored mentoring for some rather troubled young people who were on a work placement program. He changed many lives. I have the honour of bringthe first woman ordained by a woman +Barbara, in Australia.
We shall miss them both, but as the picture demonstrates, the forces of nature can not be advised by us meet mistakes
