To Have a Conversation with Woody

On the early morning walk the birds have really started singing and it is a real pleasure.

Today for the first time this year old woody woodpecker entered an appearance with his staccato tapping. It sounded as if he was in the tall trees behind the barn, but it is not easy to tell.

Up until 15/20 years ago greater spotted woodpeckers were unknown in the Island.  Now they have really made a home.
