The Water Tank

There's no shortage of water at Wombat Hollow after the incredible storms we've had over the past few days.  We've had just on 5 inches fall in four days, that's just incredible.

This is the lower of the two water tanks that make up what we refer to as our "Billabong".  We believe that these two tanks act like magnets for the birdlife and we are so blessed with the dozens of varieties that visit us on a regular basis.

The water is recycled and I love it when they're kept refreshed by the rain falling rather than having to keep them topped up from our main water supply.  We rely totally on rainwater at Wombat Hollow.  We have a 60,000 litre tank and it does the job very well.
