La Dame a la Licorne

Mum worked this tapestry many years ago, roughly based on one of the six famous fifteenth century La Dame a la Licorne tapestries at Musee de Cluny. This one is  sometimes known as mille-fleurs. More information here.

Whatever the mediaeval symbolism, what could be more romantic than a unicorn?

Thank you for all the lovely comments on Mum's painting (and my 300th blip). Mum thanks everyone for all their warm wishes for her recovery.
