Bloomin' typical!

Not the required amount of sleep achieved last night as befitted the last day of term. Not sure if I was even awake at gone midnight but I somehow decided to turn the bedside lamp on, the bulb went off with a pop and so did the upstairs' sockets. About 20 minutes later I realised that I would need to do something about it otherwise the visitors wouldn't have any power either. And then I managed to spend far too long awake, pondering the annoyances of the day and the term in general. Bailey's new weekend regime at least meant that I didn't have to get up twice and he was beside himself to have three people to greet before breakfast.

We did a food shop and then home for lunch. Bailey decided to bring his much-attacked bed downstairs to tear it to bits on another floor and just when I decided that it really needed to be binned, he decided to sleep in it for the longest amount of time I have ever known. It didn't last all that long though so it has been briefly reprieved and confined to the cupboard. I managed to book myself a hair appointment for this week but couldn't get Bailey in for a fortnight; I hadn't realised that it would be quite so difficult or that there was such a minefield out there of punning dog groomers who may know how to handstrip border terriers but who don't know how to use an apostrophe.  A couple of walks this evening and this afternoon and but generally a chilled day, with the hope for a considerable amount more sleep tonight.
