SHEET ICE!

What a difference a day makes...

So the temperature had gone up to plus 5 degrees, but the rain made driving conditions tricky.

Our guide Kristian took us up on a pass which was quite(!) scary as the road was ice with rain falling on top. Testing the breaks a couple of times was reassuring (I think) anyway relatively good steady progress was made until we got stuck behind a couple of camper vans!

The blipper in the front made use of her phone, whilst the blippers in the back went for the cameras. A wild, yet interesting day - gale force winds and driving rain...
