Lions, tigers, bears etc

There  is a long list of animals that we didn't see at the zoo today, what with the weather keeping them in, and the fact that the fog didn't lift.  Twice we made the slog up the hill to the 'high plains' but it was so thick that all we saw was disappointed zebra-spotters.  

To be honest, if I had not had a free pass I would have felt quite hard done by. It was interesting to see all of the folks there.  I certainly hadn't realised it was such a romantic place - packed with young  couples visiting the mating chimpanzees for Valentine's Day.  

I don't know how much H enjoyed it.  She was interested in some of the monkeys, especially the ones that looked most like our own cat, which is ironic after going all that way.
