Nail

So then, today is my first day of retired life. Not that you would think so if you were here to see the action.
As I was preparing breakfast yesterday before heading for the office for my last day in work, what should I see on the kitchen floor but a large puddle of water. The hot water cylinder had sprung a leak. That's all I needed and to make matters worse my plumber wasn't answering his phone. Eventually located a different plumber who sent two men around right away. They finished up at near enough 6pm. Cost €650. There went part of the savings even before I managed to reach the end of my contract. Oh well, at least I had a wonderful day otherwise. My workmates treated me like a king and not at all like the old nail I actually am.
