Area Meeting in Swansea beckons; end of year accounts are due in today so we make it a day out.  J and M also heading off to London for the weekend so we drop them off in Newport to get the bus, then head off down the M4.  AM in the morning gives K an opportunity for a wander around the city shops while I deliver my package to Area Treasurer. 

Business meetings just don't do it for me any more [did they ever?] and by 1pm I'm ready to head for the beach.  There's more to follow after lunch, but I've done my bit and life's too short to be spent here; so when K returns from the shopping centre we head off to the Bay.

It's a lovely fresh afternoon for a stroll along the beach, wrapped up against the breeze.  A popular Saturday afternoon attraction it seems, with people walking the dogs, playing with children and jogging/riding the cycle path to Mumbles.

We stop at the Junction for lunch, a friendly family run place alongside the beach.  Wouldn't appeal to Nigel Farage though - the breast feeding mums didn't have table cloths over them.  It was a bit of a surprise to me as there were a few feeding mums, the babies must be synchronised for 2.30 feeding around here! It's a relaxed, warm "family" place and I really enjoyed the bacon and Brie toasted granary sandwich [no photo sorry, I was more interested in eating].  Something about the place, really enjoyed passing away an hour or so over lunch chatting with K.  When we eventually emerged the nearby play was heaving with tinies playing, a real family place. 

Shades of "Under Milk Wood" about it in some surreal way, watching the comings and goings of life here.  A really enjoyable, relaxing day out in Swansea.  It's been a few years since I was last here, must return before too long.
