A three headed thrift

Found this at Mike's mums it was wedged behind the mantlepiece

The three penny bit was minted between 1547 and 1970 and was worth 1/80 of a pound sterling. I remember when we went decimal which was February 1971, suddenly the 240 pennies you got to the pound became 100. There was uproar everyone making comparisons  of what you could or couldn't get for a pound.

A real swizz.

As a kid I was gutted that the four blackjacks you got for 1d suddenly , overnight went to two for 1p. Lots of shopkeepers took this as an opportunity to raise prices, my mum was horrified at the price of a loaf of bread.

Today also would of been my mum and dads wedding anniversary, it would of been 62 years for them
