My birthday treat

Dropped A off at nursery an hour and half late as I had a birthday lie in and then we hit the road. I had no idea where we were going. We headed west and kept on going till we were in Wales! Where are we going I thought. Then we rounded the corner and pulled into a long drive leading into Ruthin Castle. Wow! It was gorgeous! When we checked in and went to our room I was speechless. Mr J had booked us a suite and it was the most amazing room I had ever stayed in. Big bay windows over looking the castle grounds, a huge double ended bath and a massive four poster bed!

Once we had settled into our room I was then escorted to the spa where I was treated to 2 hours worth of pampering. I full body aromatherapy massage and a facial. Mr J then met me afterwards and we went in the sauna, steam room and hot tubs. When we had dried off we endulged with warm chocolate brownies and ice cream along with a glass of fizz.

The 3 course meal in the evening was devine. The dining room was gorgeous and bubbles flowed freely. We both got a bit tipsy and crashed out in bed by 10pm!
