Tubing at Hillend

Ever since the 1960's there has been an artifical ski slope on the outskirts of Edinburgh - It has been well used down thru the years and many professional Scottish Skiers have honed their skills on its matting outwith the winter months.

In 2010, it was threatened with closure due to the falling numbers using the facility and the ongoing running costs.

A campaign to raise the needed funds was started and thankfully, it is still going - and heading in the right direction, today.

One of its additions is its Tubing Park, which Jonathan and his friend (and the big kid....Me!!) headed along to this morning.

A great time was had by all...and so for something a wee bit different - head on over and enjoy a slide!!!
