Great Horned Owl

This owl is one of the most widespread New World birds, ranging from northwestern Alaska through most of Canada, the entire continental US and all of Central and South America. In Florida, the Great Horned Owl is found virtually statewide.It is a formidable predator, using it's hearing and powerful vision to hunt amazingly wide variety of prey.
