Next phase of treatment - Springs!

Spent the morning in because the plumber called to fix the leak coming from the bath. I now have a hole in the kitchen ceiling (the only way he could get to the pipes because the bath panel is tiled ). It seemed fixed but he has left the hole open for a few days to allow the timbers to dry out.

I've decided to have another go at making a garment. I found a blouse pattern for 'adventurous beginners' and some fabric in my stash. While the plumber was at work, I got it cut out.

In the afternoon, I picked up my daughter for her orthodontist appointment. He's decided to fit springs rather than a power chain (because she is a good patient!). If one of the springs comes off we have to go back asap to get it refitted. The springs are so powerful that it could ruin the placement of her teeth very quickly if the balance isn't right.

We went straight from the hospital to her trampoline lesson - it was dark by the time we got home. On the way home we have to drive down a very long, unlit lane. I'm on edge driving all the way down, because there's no footpath, and there is almost always a pedestrian walking down wearing dark clothes with no reflective strip anywhere. If there is a car in front you can't put your beam on - and it's so difficult to see them with normal headlights. There were two separate walkers last night!!!

My daughter asked if she could go to the cinema tomorrow with her friend and two boys from school. Yikes!!!! She says they aren't boyfriends, just friends! She's growing up so fast!!!
