Bread winner
Earthy at Canonmills.
After opening just along the road, this may well be one of my new favourite places to go in Edinburgh. It's up there with Artisan Roast.
I'm addicted to the bread. Loaf consumption in our flat has increased severalfold.
For wannabe-hipster-foody types like me, this place is kryptonite. A plethora of seasonal organic vegetables, gourmet chocolates, flavoured oils, etc. Easy on the eyes but a little less so on the wallet. Suprisingly though for a place like this it manages to remain relatively unpretentious, mainly I think due to their always cheery staff.
You know you've got a problem when you find yourself going to buy schezuan pepper at 8am on a Wednesday morning.
And coming back with yet another loaf.
