And out of the paper come shapes...

Well it's been a while since I've attempted any kind of drawing so I decided to ease myself in gently with a little still life thingy. I had been interested in the clear glass sitting in front of the white wood panelling by the window so I bought a bouquet with white roses in it stuck them in the vase and got to work. I haven't used chalk pastels in ages and I had forgotten how fun they are and I'm loving the brown paper. It feels more like the images are emerging from the paper rather than being on top. It's a great way to spend one of my afternoons off, if only I had more days to spend doing this.
